In the last few years, there’s been an enthusiastic resurgence of 80s chintz within the interiors industry, and we love it. The maximalist repeat patterns, the endless opportunities for exploring colour, the ever-present temptation of adding a cheerful trim or Friday-night fringe…so, it only seemed natural to develop a very-Ceraudo, contemporary take on 80s chintz. And thus, in early 2019, the Pome! Collection was born.

Pome, ‘Moss’
The collection comprises lacquer cane furniture in a variety of bold colours, and classic silhouettes upholstered in playful repeat pattern prints, as well as wallpapers and fabrics by the metre – a stylish take on the joyful, maximalist 80s interior trend. Look closely and you’ll notice the repeat pattern is an intricate trellis of pomegranate fruits, inspired by the Turkish or Uzebek suzanis where they often appear, and chosen due to its exotic connotations and elegant crown-like shape.
We opted for quite a heavy, wider weave linen for this collection; its luxurious quality suits the upholstery and cushion styles beautifully, and looks fantastic screen printed by hand at our workshop in India. Each of our four colourways, Moss, Dusky Pink, Buttercup and Oxford Blue feature the print, set against a natural, off-white background, making them suitable for almost any colour scheme.
